slips to the library! Keep up the good work!

Our lost and found is growing once again. Please encourage your children to check for lost items.
Testing
The state year-end testing window opens on March 30th and closes on May 15th. Please avoid planning things such as appointments, vacations or anything that would take the student away from school during those dates. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Utah PTA
To follow Utah PTA’s position in the Legislature, go to the following and link up with the Utah Priority Bill Sheet and the Commissioner’s Priority Bill Sheet
http://www.utahpta.org/advocacy.htm#billsheets. It is interesting to follow and the list is updated regularly as new bills are sponsored and others die without passage.

Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Week is next month! The appreciation week will be held April 6th-10th. Look for a flyer to be sent home the week before with a list of events the children can participate in to honor their teacher. We encourage parents to help the children remember the fun things they get to do each day. We are so grateful for all that the teachers do for our children here at Art City Elementary. We can’t wait for next month!

Used Books Wanted
Art City Elementary will soon have its own bookstore! Alex Knowlton is working on an Eagle Project to bring an “Exchange” bookstore to Art City Elementary to make books available to own for students of any age or income. We will be accepting donations of used or new books, anything from children’s books to young adult. A drop box will be in place at Art City through the month of March. The bookstore will be called “Britt’s Bookstore” in memory of Britton Dalley (1990-2008), a former Art City Elementary student, who was an avid reader and role model. Please contact Alex Knowlton at 489-8411 if you have any questions.
