Enjoy Free Breakfast on November 3rd
Nebo School District invites every student to enjoy free breakfast on Monday, November 3rd from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. We will be serving a “Breakfast Break” which includes cereal, milk and juice. Send your child on that day ready to experience school breakfast!
Student Healthy Lifestyle Fitness Challenge
This is just a reminder that all of our students and employees are involved with Nebo School District’s Healthy Lifestyle Fitness Challenge. We sent home a yellow or gold October 2008 Fitness Challenge tracking sheet with each student in Kindergarten through Sixth grades. Please encourage your children to participate in this challenge and becoming more fit this year! We
want to have healthy students at Art City Elementary! We are now going to put the Healthy Lifestyle Fitness Challenge on the same calendar as our Firelight Reading Calendar. Every month the students will be able to track their progress in fitness along with reading. For parent information of the upcoming Nebo Healthy Lifestyle Challenge events, here is the list of every monthly challenge.
• November: Fruit and Veggie Challenge: 5
fruit and vegetables, 4 days a week (or 18
days).
• December and January: Enjoy the Ride
Challenge: Once a day do something you
enjoy. For instance, work on a hobby, play a
sport, read or watch a favorite TV show and be
happy (25 days per month for two months).
• February: Smart Beverage Challenge: No
sugar drinks 5 days a week (or 22 days).
• March: Whole Grain Challenge: Eat your
whole grains for 18 days.
• April: Eat Breakfast Everyday for 22 days.
That’s the whole year’s Healthy Lifestyle Challenge in a quick review.
